About Trekking

The special location of Andorra, nestled in the Pyrenees mountain range, gives the Principle the privilege of enjoying in a special way, the multiple sports and activities that can be carried out outdoors, attracting anyone who wishes to enjoy the so-called active tourism .

To the snow sports that can be practiced in winter, the summer and good weather period is the most conducive to enjoying sports in the middle of nature, such as hiking. A sport capable of adapting to any age and physical condition, which can be enjoyed as a family, thanks to the network of trails that run through valleys and peaks and allow to know the most incredible landscapes that the Principality offers and those that are more unknown.

They can be walked with full safety, thanks to their good conditioning and good signage, made with different types of indications, such as paint marks or wooden signs, which can also be followed in the hiking guide offered in the tourist offices of Andorra. In addition, the trails are adapted with different levels of difficulty, distance and walking times.

You can visit any of the three natural parks that Andorra treasures, the Sorteny Valley, the Comapedrosa valleys and the Madriu-Perafia-Claror Valleys, the latter park that obtained the designation of World Heritage by Unesco in 2004.

Some of the most popular routes that can be done are the Estripagecs route that runs through six mountain peaks, coronallacs circular hiking route that connects the four refuges that currently exist in Andorra or the route of the water circles, cercle d ' aigua, whose circular route connects the five lakes with a hydraulic dam in Andorra.
