Between September 7 and 10, 2023, the Philatelic Union of Slovenia will for the first time host the international regional exhibition MULTILATERALE 2023, the Multilaterale group, which consists of seven philatelic unions of Central Europe, namely Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Slovenia.
Regional cooperation began in 1988 with the cooperation of only three countries - Austria, Germany and Switzerland, called Trilaterale, with an exhibition in Salzburg. In 1994, Liechtenstein and the Netherlands joined the link, and in 2014, at the exhibition in Haldensleben, Germany, Luxembourg and Slovenia also joined.
Since 2004, the postal administrations of the participating countries have also joined the meetings; meetings follow in the days after the exhibition, together or separately for postal administrations and for federations. These meetings are an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and good practices in the field of branding, youth work and other forms of cooperation.
As the host of the exhibition in 2023, the FZS decided to hold the exhibition in Koper, on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. In addition to the exhibition in over 300 display cases, philatelic dealers and postal administration stands will also be present. The exhibition is also recognized by FEPA, the Federation of European Philatelic Federations (FEPA Recognition). Welcome!
