About Chinese Signs of the Zodiac - (Set Mint)

The Chinese Signs of the Zodiac series, which has meanwhile become a tradition, is being continued with the dog. To celebrate the “Year of the Dog 2018” (face value: CHF 2.00) the Philately is again issuing a self-adhesive stamp designed as filigree silhouette and produced using the very latest laser technology. The 4-stamp sheetlet in red – the Chinese symbol for good luck - is also cut in the shape of a dog. All the imprints were applied in high-quality gold foil embossing. The fascination of Chinese culture lies in its diversity, one aspect of which is astrology with its twelve zodiac signs. China is celebrating the Year of the Dog from 16 February 2018 until 4 February 2019. People born in the Year of the Dog are believed to be honest, loyal and have a strong sense of duty say experts. Their intelligence and diligence makes them good leaders in the business world. They appear to be self-confident, inspire confidence and are very popular on account of their endearing nature. Although dogs are generally trustworthy, people born in these years have difficulty in trusting others according to astrologers.
