2018Thomas and Friends - Sheetlets

On 12 September 2018, UNPA will issue a special event sheet to commemorate “All Aboard for Global Goals” featuring Thomas & Friends™. The United Nations and Mattel, Inc have collaborated to incorporate a number of the Sustainable Development Goals into the storylines of the animated children’s television series Thomas & Friends. The sheet of ten stamps in the denomination of $1.15 features images of Thomas & Friends™ and includes six of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals – specifically #4 Quality Education, #5 Gender Equality, #6 Clean Water and Sanitation, #11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, #12 Responsible Consumption and Production and #15 Life on Land. The new movie “Thomas & Friends: Big World! Big Adventures! The Movie™”, as well as a new television series will feature content about the SDG Goals to inspire young audiences.
