Jersey Girlguiding 100 Years - Set
Jersey Girlguiding 100 Years - Set for only GBP £4.98
Established in 1919, Girlguiding Jersey was inspired by reports of the rapidly expanding Boy Scout and Girl Guide Movements in England. Three companies were originally formed in Jersey, two at the Ladies College and a third with girls from the Girls Friendly Society. By 1922, sixteen companies and eight Brownie packs had registered across the Island and ‘Girlguiding’ in Jersey was firmly established. Today, Girlguiding Jersey consists of over 500 members in 27 units across the Island. Members take part in a wide range of exciting activities at their regular meetings, special island events and off island adventures. Girls can get involved in anything from adventure sports to travel and taking part in community action projects. The programme is divided into six themes: Know Myself, Be Well, Have Adventures, Take Action, Skills for my Future and Express Myself.
