UNESCO 2019 International Year of Indigenous Languages - Set for only GBP £1.25
In 2019, UNESCO declared that this year would be the year of indigenous languages. The International Year is both an important mechanism for international cooperation and a celebration dedicated to promoting an area of interest at the international level. Indigenous languages are important for sustainable development, peaceful coexistence and reconciliation in our societies. Indigenous peoples, with a population of around 370 million, and users of other minority languages, speak the majority of the world's 7,000 languages.
