Tromelin Island, a small corner of land coveted by so many states but which France intends to defend its sovereignty.

On this island there is a weather station that was automated in 2015, archaeological remains dating back to the tragic period of the forgotten island. A marine anchor firmly anchored in the sand would belong to the "Useful" boat.

There are two species of birds: mainly masked boobies and red footed boobies. The green turtles and Hermit crabs also cohabit there.
