After the successful bird sheets last year regarding the fact that 250 years ago the first Dutch book on birds was issued, Dutch Caribbean will this year commemorate that is was 100 years ago the Ornithologia Neerlandica was issued with illustrations of M. A. Koekkoek which is also a bird name in Dutch.This work is now a collectible of many thousands of Euros. M.A. Koekkoek was reknowned of his drawings of birds and therefore used Harry Forbes Witherby (founder of magazine British Birds) also his drawings in The Handbook of British Birds
