2022Dore - Paris Philex 2022 - Miniature Sheet

"The 2022 Golden Block will have the Parisian Palaces as its theme. It will be printed in offset/intaglio with hot foil stamping.

The Paris-Philex 2022 show will take place from Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 June at Porte de Versailles.

This block aims to highlight the know-how of the printing press and to be an aesthetic representation of Paris.

The four stamps represent the great Parisian palaces already stamped (Palais de Chaillot - 1948, Palais du Luxembourg - 1946, Palais de l'Élysée - 1957 and the Grand Palais - 2008).

At the bottom of the block, the Louvre Palace has been represented with the emblematic Pyramid of the Louvre by architect Leoh Ming Pei in the foreground.
