Kunst in Montenegro durch Jahrhunderte

Mihailo Jovićević, a renowned Montenegrin painter, was born in 1939. He graduated from the High School of Art in Herceg Novi, and the Academy of Fine Arts and Postgraduate Studies in Belgrade. The works of Mihailo Jovićević are grounded on the religious and mythological topics that the artist uses as a starting point in the creation of his works. His art correlates with the Christian tradition as well as the cultural heritage of Montenegro. He is a winner of the country's highest state award - the Thirteenth of July Prize Award.
