Since the first Tokelau ‘Messages of Love’ heart-shaped coins were released in 2012, interest in this series of silver coins has grown steadily. Romance and love has a way of reminding us all of the gentler side of life and these three new coins for 2018 are a wonderful addition to the series. Love Birds

Lovebirds are one of nine species of the genus Agapornis. They are small parrots, renowned for bonding in pairs and their affection interactions with each other while sitting together as a couple. This gorgeous design shows a pair of love birds perched comfortably together on a branch with peonies in the background. What more lovely symbol of lasting love and affection is there than these colourful lovebirds!

Love is Forever

A classic wedding day scene with a loving couple, the new bride holding a bouquet and the words “Love is Forever” feature on this special coin. A beautiful border of white and pink roses representing a traditional wedding bouquet completes the design. This coin makes a perfect gift for any couple on their wedding day.

Obverse Design

All Tokelau coins are approved by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and carry her effigy. The text shows the official issuer as Tokelau, the date 2018, the denomination of One Dollar and the weight of 20g pure silver represented as Ag 20g 999.

Presentation Packaging

Each coin will be presented in a heart-shaped presentation case with a serially numbered certificate and a printed outer box. More details closer to the time of release.
