About Prominent Armenians - 100th Anniversary of Karp Khachvankyan
On May 12th, 2023, one postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Prominent Armenians. 100th Anniversary of Karp Khachvankyan” has been put into circulation.
The postage stamp with the nominal value of 320 AMD depicts the prominent Armenian actor, director and the People’s Artist of the Armenian SSR Karp Khachvankyan (1923-1998).
The right part of the postage stamp depicts an episode from a play with the participation of Karp Khachvankyan, as well as a taxi, which symbolizes one of Karp Khachvankyan's famous plays ("Taxi, Taxi").
The postage stamp also depicts the stylized inscription “100TH ANNIVERSARY” in Armenian and English languages.
