A stamp to get excited about: this summer, the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 football championship will be held for the first time in Switzerland, with 16 teams including the Swiss women’s team vying for the European title.

On 2 July, the opening match of UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 kicks off at St. Jakob- Park in Basel. There will be 31 matches in all, including the final on 27 July – held at venues not only in Basel, but also in Bern, Geneva, Zurich, St. Gallen, Lucerne, Thun and Sion. This is the first time a women’s tournament of this size has been held in Switzerland. The teams taking part include defending champions England and world champions Spain.
