2006Christmas - Miniature Sheet

As usual, at the end of every year, Romfilatelia, the company specialized in editing and trading Romanian postage stamps, introduces into circulation the philatelic issue Christmas 2006. Romfilatelia’s team sings out a carol to you, friends of postage stamps, from the bottom of its heart, and wishes you Merry holidays!

The postage stamps of the philatelic issue have the same face value of RON 0.50.
They illustrate icons painted on glass, as follows:
- Holy Virgin Empress (Maica Domnului Împărăţită), 19th century, Ţara Bârsei, Transylvania;
- Worship of the Wizards (Închinarea Magilor), 19th century, Transylvania;
- Holy Virgin with Baby Jesus on the Throne (Maica Domnului cu Pruncul Iisus pe tron), 19th century, Ţara Bârsei, Transylvania.
