About Health Awareness

100c: ALZHEIMER INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ALZHEIMER - September 21
Alzheimer's is a progressive disease, where dementia symptoms gradually worsen over a number of years. In its early stages, memory loss is mild, but with late-stage Alzheimer's, individuals lose the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to their environment.
Every disease has symptoms before the disease has taken full form.
Alzheimer has 7 stages. Stage 1: No Impairment, stage 2: Very Mild Decline, stage 3: Mild Decline, stage 4: Moderate Decline, stage 5: Moderately Severe Decline, stage 6: Severe Decline and stage 7: Very Severe Decline. Educating yourself gives you the power over the disease.

130c: CANCER WORLD CANCER DAY - February 4
Cancer is the name given to a collection of related diseases. In all types of cancer, some of the body's cells begin to divide without stopping and spread into surrounding tissues. Cancer can start almost anywhere in the human body, which is made up of trillions of cells.
There are over 100 types of cancer that attack the human body. Early discovery is very important in fighting the cancer cells. Cancer cells thrive in acidity, a low pH level, but not in alkalinity, or high pH level. It’s important to have a diet with high alkaline foods like vegetables and fruits. Vegetables and fruits raise the pH level in our blood whereby cancer cells are discouraged to grow.
The vegetable broccoli is a natural blood monitor; it not only helps control your blood pressure, but also fights cancer through its high level of antioxidants.

220c: DIABETES WORLD DIABETES DAY - November 14

Diabetes is a chronic (long-lasting) health condition that affects how your body turns food into energy. Most of the food you eat is broken down into sugar (also called glucose) and released into your bloodstream. When your blood sugar goes up, it signals your pancreas to release insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps the glucose get into your cells to give them energy. With type 1 diabetes, your body does not make insulin.
Constantly diagnosing our blood level helps us to monitor diabetes. But nature gives us also a helping hand on how to monitor our blood pressure. The vegetable broccoli is a natural blood monitor, it not only helps control your blood pressure, it also fights cancer through its high level of antioxidants. We have the tools and wisdom to fight against any mental disease, but it is important to monitor and make the right choices in order to live a long, healthy and prosperous life.

320c: STROKE WORLD STROKE DAY – October 29
A stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of your brain is interrupted or reduced, preventing brain tissue from getting oxygen and nutrients. Brain cells begin to die in minutes. A stroke is a medical emergency, and prompt treatment is crucial. Early action can reduce brain damage and other complications.
It is a medical condition in which poor blood flow to the brain results in cell death. There are two main types of stroke: ischemic, due to lack of blood flow, and hemorrhagic, due to bleeding. Both result in parts of the brain not functioning properly and can have symptoms like dizziness and head pain. The gray matter in our brain that processes information relies on oleic acid to perform at optimal speed. As an example avocados are an excellent source of oleic acid. Educating ourselves on what to eat is important and helps us take care of our brain, body and soul, against any disease.
