About World Famous Armenians - 200th Anniversary of Nubar Nubarian, Nubar Pasha
On April 9th, 2025, one postage stamp dedicated to the theme “World Famous Armenians. 200th Anniversary of Nubar Nubarian (Nubar Pasha)” has been put into circulation.
The postage stamp with the nominal value of 380 AMD depicts the prominent Egyptian-Armenian political figure, the first Prime Minister of Egypt Nubar Nubarian (Nubar Pasha) (1825-1899) against the background of Cairo.
The postage stamp also depicts the inscriptions “200TH ANNIVERSARY”, “NUBAR NUBARIAN (NUBAR PASHA)” and “FIRST PRIME MINISTER OF EGYPT” in Armenian and English languages.
Nubar Nubarian served as Prime Minister of Egypt three times: from 1878 to 1879, from 1884 to 1888, and from 1894 to 1895.
