Graphic Humor - Núria Pompeia
About Graphic Humor - Núria Pompeia
Núria Pompeia (1931–2016) was a Catalan cartoonist, graphic humorist, writer, and journalist. Known for her sharp wit and feminist perspective, she used her art to critique societal norms, sexism, and censorship. Her works, such as Maternasis (1967) and Mujercitas (1975), became iconic in the fight for gender equality. Pompeia's contributions to satirical magazines during Spain's transition to democracy left a lasting impact on both art and feminism.
