Tusass, Greenland's national telecommunications and postal service, is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025. The milestone commemorates the establishment of telecommunications in Greenland, which began with a telegram sent from Qaqortoq to King Christian X on September 6, 1925. To mark this centenary, Tusass has issued two special stamps designed by Martin Brandt Hansen, also available as a souvenir sheet.
In addition to the telecommunications centenary, Tusass is honouring the 100th birthday of Jens Rosing, a renowned Greenlandic artist and illustrator, on July 28, 2025. Rosing, known for his extensive work on Greenlandic stamps, has been celebrated with a commemorative stamp, a miniature sheet, a black print, a souvenir folder, and a prestige booklet.
These commemorative releases not only celebrate Tusass's century-long service but also highlight Greenland's rich cultural heritage and the importance of its telecommunications history.
