Portugal-Egypt Joint Partnership - 50 Years

To celebrate 50 years of restored diplomatic ties (since 1975), Portugal and Egypt issued a joint commemorative stamp. The issue features a souvenir sheet with two stamps, highlighting the Douro River (Portugal) and the Nile River (Egypt), symbolizing the countries’ geography and shared cultural heritage. The launch in Lisbon emphasized half a century of political, cultural, and economic cooperation.
