About 100th Anniversary of Metaksya Simonyan
On May 7th, 2026, one postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Prominent Armenians. 100th Anniversary of Metaksya Simonyan” has been put into circulation.
The postage stamp with the nominal value of 380 AMD depicts the prominent Armenian actress, the People’s Artist of the Armenian SSR Metaksya Simonyan (1926-1987). The right part of the postage stamp depicts several of the characters performed by Metaksya Simonyan.
The postage stamp also depicts the inscriptions “METAKSYA SIMONYAN” and “ARMENIAN ACTRESS” in Armenian and English languages.
