Jewish New Year

This is the Jewish New Year issue for the year 5711 (1950), continuing Israel's annual holiday stamp tradition. Two values depicting traditional symbols of Rosh Hashana and Sukkot. Singles without tabs are affordable and widely collected. The issue bridges the 1948–1950 interim period into the early definitive era.

Tabs on this issue bear holiday greetings in Hebrew. Tab-attached copies are noticeably scarcer than plain singles. Complete tab pairs in never-hinged condition are in consistent collector demand.
