The Negev

This stamp features The Negev desert, issued 1949. Part of an Israel landscape/geographic series highlighting the diverse terrain of the new state. Singles without tabs are affordable and popular for Negev-themed collections. The stamp reflects Israel's early focus on developing and publicizing the southern desert region.

Tab-attached copies of this landscape issue are moderately scarce. The tab bears a Hebrew caption identifying the Negev. A desirable addition to any early Israel tab collection or geographic topical collection.
