Centenary of Fiorentina

Founded in 1926 by Marquis Luigi Ridolfi Vay da Verrazzano, an entrepreneur, sports manager, and key figure in Florence at the time, Fiorentina was born from the merger of the Club Sportivo Firenze and the Palestra Ginnastica Libertas.

Ridolfi's vision was ambitious: to give the city a team strong enough to compete at the highest levels of Italian football. Over the decades, this vision has been fully realized.

From winning its first Coppa Italia, its first trophy in the 1939-1940 season, to its two Scudetti, numerous Coppa Italia titles, Italian Super Cups, and historic European successes, Fiorentina has built a history of sporting achievements, great champions, and a deep bond with Florence and its millions of fans around the world.
