UNESCO World Heritage Sites - Japan

The series dedicated to UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the celebration of the Republic's diplomatic relations continues into its second year and, in 2026, pays tribute to Japan and Norway with two souvenir sheets, each consisting of four stamps with a face value of €1.35.

The issue dedicated to Japan depicts the Hiroshima Peace Memorial (Genbaku Dome), the only structure remaining in the area hit by the atomic bomb on August 6, 1945, and today a universal symbol of peace and hope for a world free of nuclear weapons. The issue also commemorates the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 65th anniversary of official relations between San Marino and Japan.
