Sepac - Spectacular Views
An incredibly picturesque island, Guernsey has been described as offering stop-in-your-tracks scenery on a grand scale. Added to this is the island’s unique geographical position, which sets the scene for a fascinating heritage: Guernsey has been pivotal in battles between the UK and France and evidence remains of the island’s occupation by the Germans during World War II.
As a member of SEPAC, the Small European Postal Administrations Co-operation, Guernsey Post is delighted to celebrate this year’s SEPAC theme – Spectacular Scenery – with a set of stamps depicting aerial scenes of Guernsey not often showcased.
To achieve this, we commissioned Elliott Cockett, a young Guernsey-based photographer known as ‘The Drone Ranger’, who was able to capture striking aerial scenes of the island from an elevated position.
