Of the most pleasant memories that can be kept from our childhood, there is the one that leaves us a good teacher, because of his behavior and attitude towards his students and because of the teaching and education that he manages to transmit and that survives throughout our lives.
This is the memory that his former students keep of Marcel: La Pelegrí Esquerda, known as Mrs. Arana, a primary school teacher at the Andorra la Vella nursery school, a work that began in 1942, and to which she dedicated nothing less than 49 years of his life.
Those who had the privilege of being his students, highlight his commitment to teaching, good education, and above all, for the critical sense that he transmitted to them in front of the world, teaching them to think, to doubt and to have a curious and inquisitive look on the reality.
His entire life of dedication to teaching earned him, in 2006 and at the advanced age of 93 years, the recognition, in the form of a decoration, of the Great Cross of Isabel la Católica.
The commemorative stamp that is issued, within the series, Dones Andorranes, includes an image of Marcel.la Pel.legri, in front of the classroom, where he taught his classes.
