The Hungarian Civil Guard Association Is 30 Years Old

The Hungarian Civil Guard Association was founded on 24 April 1991. The Civil Guard provides an effective opportunity for citizens who wish to take responsibility for maintaining public order to act and helps organisations that play an important role in consolidating public safety.

Among the duties civil guards perform are patrolling and keeping watch, helping with accidents and crime prevention, protecting crime victims and property, ensuring safety at events, and participating in educational, cultural and similar activities.

The Association’s logo features on the label of the stamp and in the postmark. An advertisement popularising the Civil Guard appears on the first day cover.
