Goats

As an artist, Mirjam Griffioen always loves to paint animals. For her every living creature is so special and unique, especially goats!
Goats inspire her because they always look at people in a weird way, the pupils are horizontal. That's because when goats bend their head down to graze, their eyes stay level with the horizon, this will give them a better view of encroaching risks and danger.
When you look at goats they keep looking at you. When you smile, they smile. Goats are funny, happy and very friendly animals.

The background colors are the colors of the rainbow, the famous six colors from the spectrum. Curaçao is full of colors and with the natural colors of the goats it's a beautiful contrast.

Every goat has his own color, colors make people happy and so do goats.
