The Lord of the Rings

Correios de Portugal have developed in partnership with Peter Jackson’s epic big screen adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy - filmed back-to-back and released over 3 consecutive years - a series of stamps featuring some of the most important characters from these films.

It is an issue with four stamps with a face value of 0.57 euros, 0.95 euros, 1.00 euros and 1.05 euros, and a special philatelic block with a face value of 4 euros. The print run is 75,000 stamps for each stamp and 25,000 blocks. The stamps will release this year 2022.
