About Shusha the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World

Shusha is a city in Azerbaijan, located in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. The city is historically significant and has been a center of Azerbaijani culture and heritage. Shusha was captured and occupied by Armenian forces during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, which lasted from 1988 to 1994. However, in 2020, during the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, Azerbaijani forces recaptured Shusha, marking a significant development in the conflict. The city has since become a focal point in the ongoing dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Please note that my knowledge is up to date only as of September 2021, and the situation may have evolved since then.
