Prominent Armenians - 150th Anniversary of Edgar Chahine

On October 16th, 2024, two postage stamps dedicated to the theme “Prominent Armenians. 150th Anniversary of Edgar Chahine” have been put into circulation.

The postage stamp with the nominal value of 320 AMD depicts the prominent Armenian painter, the Knight and Medal Holder of the French Legion of Honor, the greatest master of engraving Edgar Chahine (1874-1947) against the background of his etching “The Greek District. Venice” (1923) and the postage stamp with the nominal value of 380 AMD depicts his etching “Ball in the street (July 14)” (1908).

The postage stamps also depict the inscriptions “150THANNIVERSARY”, “EDGAR CHAHINE” and “Armenia painter” in Armenian and English languages.
