PostNL will release the "Autumn Palette" stamp sheetlet on October 24, 2025, featuring botanical illustrations by Janneke Brinkman-Salentijn. Each of the five frame stamps features a denomination of "1" for mail weighing up to 20 grams and destined for the Netherlands. The stamps were designed by art director Yvonne Warmerdam of Orange Licensing in Gouda.
Janneke Brinkman-Salentijn (Meppel, March 1, 1948) earned her master's degree in biology from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in microbiology. She initially taught at a secondary school, focusing on nutrition in biology classes. Her focus then shifted to her family, while simultaneously taking classes with Leny Noyen and at the Leiden Academy of Fine Arts, Ars Aemula Naturae. Janneke Brinkman-Salentijn is best known as an illustrator and watercolorist of nature subjects, whose illustrations were published for many years in the magazine Margriet. Since 2015, she has had a monthly column in Max Magazine. Her watercolors have been featured on planners, calendars, greeting cards, puzzles, bed and kitchen linens, and a wide variety of other products for over 30 years. To further improve her technique, she regularly takes botanical painting lessons with Anne-Marie Evans. In 2017, Janneke Brinkman-Salentijn celebrated her 25th anniversary as a botanical artist with a special exhibition at Slot Zeist. To commemorate this special anniversary, PostNL issued a silver stamp entitled "25 Years of Passion for Flowers." Previously, in 2014, the series of eight stamp sheets "Flowers and Butterflies," organized by season, was published in collaboration with the National Foundation for the Elderly.
