2012London Olympic Games - Miniature Sheet

Commemorating the London 2012 Olympic Games with a set of two stamps within a miniature sheet.
The Olympic Games, held every four years, are one of the major sporting events in the world. With 26 sports, approximately 10,500 athletes are expected to take part and millions of spectators anticipated to watch the action, the 2012 Games are set to be one of the largest ever events.
Officially titled the Games of the XXX Olympiad, they will take place in London from 27 July to 12 August 2012. London has previously hosted the Games of the Olympiad in 1908 and 1948.
Athletes from 204 nations are expected to take part in 302 events. The 26 Olympic sports will take place at 30 competition venues. Olympic medals have been produced by the Royal Mint to be given out to the top three finishers in each event.
