Elkhorn Corals can be seen in the very shallow waters. These branches create habitats for many other reef species, such as lobsters, parrot-fish, snapper shrimps and other reef fish. Eagle rays swim sometimes with large groups in the far distance of the sea.

At the surface of the sea, sea turtles can often be seen catching a breath for some air.
Colorful reef fishes and corals can also be seen near the surface of the sea.

Larger fishes such as the barracuda and parrotfish can be found at the bottom of the sea too. Stingrays and sea stars enjoy the sandy surface. Aruba has some amazing shipwrecks where beautiful coral is formed to provide food and shelter for the fishes.

At the bottom of the sea you will find sea fans. They are similar to soft corals, however, they anchor themselves in mud or sand instead of attaching themselves to hard substrates. Many colorful fishes like to hang around these corals and sea turtles often sleep underneath them.
