In 2020, Correos began marketing Navigation coins issued by the National Mint and Stamp Factory – Royal Mint in a collection dedicated to "Philately and Navigation," which brings together coins and stamps dedicated to this theme. In 2021, Correos decided to continue with this product and market the Aviation coins, and in 2022, the Railway coins, along with three stamps representing each theme, combining Numismatics and Philately in a single product.
This year, 2023, the chosen theme is Castles.
This collection maintains a similar structure to the previous ones. It is composed of 16 coins with full-color images of castles around the world that, for some reason, are, or have been, emblematic throughout history. The coins are accompanied by three stamps also dedicated to anniversaries related to castle themes.
The collection includes two booklets dedicated to “Numismatics and Castles” (in Spanish and English) and “Philately and Castles” respectively.
