About 80 Years of Freedom in Brabant
On September 17, 2024, PostNL issued the 80 Years of Freedom in Brabant stamp sheet. On the same date in 1944, Market Garden, the Allied operation to liberate the Netherlands from German occupation, began. The 80 Years of Freedom in Brabant stamp sheet features images of strategic bridges and dropping zones where paratroopers landed to capture the bridges. The stamps feature the denomination 1 for mail up to 20 grams with a destination within the Netherlands. The stamps were designed by graphic designer Jan van Mechelen of ZEE [typo]graphic design from Rotterdam.
