2026 - 100 Years Since the Birth of Our Beloved Queen £5 Coin - Commemorative

2026 is a significant year as it marks the 100th anniversary of our beloved Queen Elizabeth II. Born on 21st April 1926, Queen Elizabeth II became the longest-regining monarch in British history, ascending the throne in 1952 and serving with unwavering dedication until her passing in 2022.

Raphael Maklouf is synonymous with British and Gibraltar Coingage with two of his effigies featuring on British and Gibraltar Coins. This £5 coin brings together seven unseen effigies, one from each decade of Queen Elizabeth II's record-breaking reign, together with the Queen's monogram, Mr. Maklouf's signature and the inscription '100 Years Since the Birth of Our Beloved Queen - 1926 - 2026' on the reverse.

The obverse features a portrait in profile of King Charles III with the inscription 'Charles III - King of Gibraltar - Five Pounds - 2026'.
