Since the Mythical Andorra series began, various stamps have been issued showcasing places and activities that have been developed in the principality years ago and that have a place in the popular memories of its inhabitants.
In the 1960s and 1970s, Andorra experienced a boom in mass tourism as vacations in Spain became more democratic and France's economic recovery after World War II stabilized.
Visitors were attracted not only by the competitive prices and wide variety of products offered by Andorran shops, but also by their interest in discovering the country's landscape.
During this tourism boom, several companies emerged offering 4x4 excursions to the most remote areas of Andorra.
These companies, such as Excursions Lito, Excursions Baró, Excursions Font, and Excursions Coll, operated fleets of modified collective vehicles to transport tourists to the Andorran mountains as if on a safari.
Buses with sawed-off roofs, open-top all-terrain vehicles with benches installed in the trunks, painted in bright colors and labeled with their company names were some of the vehicles that circulated throughout the region during those decades.
