Aland’s Position In The Baltic Sea

Through a graphic and abstract interpretation of the Baltic Sea map and the flags of the Baltic Sea countries, the stamp highlights Åland’s place in the Baltic Sea region. The stamp is issued in connection with Åland hosting the 34th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC) in 2025.

The logo of the BSPC-conference can be seen on the gutter of the stamp sheet.

Since its inception in 1991, Åland has been a member of the BSPC, a forum for political dialogue between parliamentarians from ten national and seven regional parliaments and five parliamentary organizations operating around the Baltic Sea.

The Europa denomination of the stamp corresponds to a specific value when you use it as postage on a letter or card. The value Europa equals the current postage for a mail item weighing up to 20 grams, posted as Priority mail from Åland to a Nordic or European country.
