EUROPA - 70th Anniversary of the Europe Stamp

A commemorative postage stamp entitled "Europe - 70th Anniversary of the Europe Stamp" was released into circulation by the Post of Srpska .

Last year, the PostEurope Stamp and Philately Working Group organized an internal competition to select a common design motif on the theme of "70th Anniversary of the Europa Stamp".

The winning design was created by Klaus Welp, who described the inspiration for his work:

“The design of the Europa stamp for 2026 combines abstract and symbolic elements. The diagonally ascending dotted line represents the perforation of the stamp, but also the progressive work of the PostEurope organization. The seven dots, connected by a straight line, symbolize seventy years of united action of postal operators across the continent. The color gradients and dotted patterns in the background create a harmonious and vibrant surface, reflecting the joyful mix of colors of the European flag and symbolizing the unity of all member states.”
