First Postage Due Series - Doar Ivri Era

These stamps are Israel's first Postage Due stamps, issued during the Doar Ivri era in 1948. Five values (3m–50m). Singles without tabs are relatively affordable and complete a Doar Ivri thematic collection. These dues were affixed to underpaid mail and cancelled by the recipient's post office.

Tab-attached dues are notably rarer than singles of the same issue. The tabs carry Hebrew inscriptions related to the denomination. A full set with tabs in never-hinged condition is a trophy item for the Doar Ivri specialist.
