1948First Holidays Single - Set

This collection is Israel's first Holidays issue, released September 26, 1948, celebrating the High Holy Days. Five stamps (3m–65m) depict symbolic motifs including the shofar, a lulav and etrog, and related imagery. Singles without tabs are widely collected as an affordable classic of early Israel. This was the first Israeli thematic commemorative series.
