100th Anniversary of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania

The Chamber of Agriculture is one of the oldest European farmers' organizations, operating in Lithuania since 1926. The basis of their activities is the principle of self-government, which is characteristic of many European Union countries, where farmers' representation is ensured by such chambers.

The Chamber of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania is an umbrella organization uniting non-governmental organizations of farmers and rural residents and representing the common interests of all rural residents. The mission of the Chamber is to promote the strengthening of the agricultural and rural sector, civil society in Lithuania, and, through dialogue with government institutions, to seek decisions favorable to agriculture and rural development.
