2026Lithuanian Heritage - Manor Houses - Set

The central building of the palace was built in the then fashionable Neo-Renaissance style, and the manor ensemble created around it became an integral part of Plungė's cultural life. The manor also housed a music school founded by M. Oginskis, where Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, who later became one of the most prominent figures in Lithuanian culture, studied. Today, the former palace of Duke M. Oginskis houses the Samogitian Art Museum, and the manor ensemble and park are among the most important historical and cultural symbols of Plungė.
