The 2026 stamp in the Graphic Humor collection features the work of Idígoras and Pachi. Brothers Ángel and Francisco Javier Rodríguez Idígoras initially drew separately during the 1980s, collaborating independently with Andalusian publications such as *Sur*, *La Gaceta de Málaga*, *El Sol del Mediterráneo*, and *Diario Málaga*. In 1992, following a call from the magazine *El Jueves*, they decided to work together, forming an unconventional graphic humor duo; they develop the scripts jointly, with Pachi creating the initial pencil sketch and Ángel finalizing the drawing in ink, while either of them may handle the coloring if required. They have published work in various magazines from Ediciones El Jueves.
Since then, they have been known as Idígoras and Pachi two outstanding humorists who infuse their cartoons with a distinctive blend of irony and biting wit. Their work is populated by characters who look surprised by the situations they find themselves in, and the fusion of their two different drawing styles lends an unmistakable signature to their graphic art. They have spent years dissecting current events and everyday life, provoking smiles, laughter, and invariably reflection, whether in the daily press (both national and local) or in satirical magazines. Their drawings embody irony, brilliance, and technical skill in equal measure.
In 1994, they began contributing illustrations and cartoons to the newspaper *El Mundo* a collaboration that continues to this day thereby making their own contribution to the landscape of Spanish satire. They have published various children's books and exhibited their original drawings in Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, France, and the United States. They hold the title of Honorary Professors of Humor from the University of Alcalá, and their accolades include the Haxtur Award for Best Humorous Work, the Málaga Andalusia Day Award, the "Amigos de Málaga" Communication Award, and the Medal of Honor from the Málaga Press Association and the Málaga College of Journalists. His work has appeared in: ABC, Amaníaco, Bocetos, El Jueves, El Mundo, El Periódico de Catalunya, El Periódico de la Farmacia, Interviú, Las Familias, Marca, Pienso Compuesto, Puta Mili, Retranca, Sapoconcho, Súper Mortadelo, Sur, Telele, The Guardian (UK), Totem, and El Batracio Amarillo.
