About 50th Anniversary of the First Spacewalks
On July 2nd, 2015 Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP) is issuing the souvenir sheet “50th Anniversary of the First “Spacewalks”.
In 1965 the first ever extravehicular activity was performed. The first ever heroes to perform this activity were the Soviet pilot-cosmonaut Alexey Leonov and the American astronaut Edward White. The KEP souvenir sheet, consisting of two stamps, is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the feats performed by these outstanding men.
