About Rotary Centenary

Charity, education, humanitarianism through friendship, goodwill and worldwide concord – these are the ideals that determined Paul P. Harris to establish the first Rotary Club in Chicago, in 1905.

In 1917, under the slogan of “Doing good in the world”, the Rotary Foundation was set up. Its humanitarian programs finance local, national or international projects which provide medical care, drinking water, food and resources for the satisfying the basic needs, essential for the development of the poor areas of the world. With the support of 1,2 million members from 29,000 clubs in over 160 countries, Rotary International has established itself as an honest friend to all those who fight for achieving worldwide understanding and peace.

Rotary members must know the test of the four questions, which represents a verified guide of the application and preservation of the high moral principles that rule over human relationships:

- Is it in accordance with the truth?

- Is it fair to all those involved?

- Will it contribute to the good understanding and the reinforcement of the friendship between partners?

- Will it serve for the benefit of all those involved?
