Prominent Armenians, 100th Anniversary of Suren Safaryan

On July 21st, 2023, one-sided postcard with 1 stamp dedicated to the theme “Prominent Armenians. 100thAnniversary of Suren Safaryan” has been put into circulation.

The postage stamp of the postcard depicts the painting “Self-portrait” of the prominent Armenian painter, People's Artist of the Armenian SSR and the President of the Artists’ Union of Armenia from 1969 to 1982 Suren Safaryan (1923-1988).

The bottom left corner of the postcard depicts Suren Safaryan’s painting “Sayat-Nova” (1963). The postcard also depicts the inscriptions “100THANNIVERSARY” and “Armenian painter” written in Armenian and English languages.
