About Museums, Oxo Video Game Museum Malaga

One more year Correos issues 3 new stamps dedicated to different Museums in Spain, in this 2024 they are: Oxo Museo Videojuego in Málaga; L'Etno (Museu Valencià d'etnologia) in València and the Galería de Colecciones Reales in Madrid.

OXO Video Game Museum is a unique space in Spain that focuses on the history, vanguard and conservation of video games and their historical, technological and cultural legacy.

The Museum receives the name of OXO in homage to Alexander S. Douglas, a student of the University of Cambridge that in 1952 created a tic-tac-toe, one of the first known video games in history.

OXO has its own building with four floors and more than 1,800 m2 in Plaza del Siglo, 2, in Malaga, a space designed to house the past, present and future of the sector.

In the quest to become a national and international benchmark, OXO highlights the culture and industry of video games in a journey that proposes a historical, educational, recreational and experiential journey through the world of video games.
