About Gyula Grosics Was Born 100 Years Ago
Magyar Posta is marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Gyula Grosics (1926–2014) by issuing a commemorative stamp. The stamp commemorates the legendary goalkeeper of the Golden Team, who was capped 86 times for Hungary and was awarded the title of National Athlete. Forty thousand copies of the stamp designed by the graphic artist Orsolya Kara were produced by ANY Security Printing Company. The new issue goes on sale at Filaposta in Hungary, philately specialist services, certain post offices and www.posta.hu from 4 February 2026.
